Spaces

Space activity

The activity feed shows what has happened to the pages in a space: who created, edited, shared, deleted, restored or permanently deleted them, newest first.

Open the feed

  • Choose Activity in the sidebar to see the full feed for the space you're in.
  • A space's All Pages home shows the latest entries under Recent activity. Choose View all to open the full feed.

Anyone who can open the space can see its feed. Entries are grouped by day, and each one reads as a sentence, such as "Sam edited Deploy checklist".

What's recorded

Entry When it appears
created Someone creates a page in the space.
edited Someone edits a page.
shared Someone shares a page with a person by email. The entry shows their access (Read-only or Editor). People who can manage the page's sharing also see who it was shared with. Everyone else sees "someone".
moved to the recycle bin Someone deletes a page.
restored Someone restores a page from the recycle bin.
permanently deleted Someone deletes a page forever, or empties the recycle bin.

Edits are grouped so that the feed stays readable: you see at most one "edited" entry per person per page every 15 minutes, however often the page autosaves.

What you won't see

The feed only shows entries for pages you can open. Two people looking at the same space can see different feeds:

  • Entries about a private page appear only for its author and the people it's shared with.
  • If a page is made private, or you otherwise lose access to it, its earlier entries disappear from your feed too.
  • Once a page is permanently deleted, its earlier entries are hidden for everyone. Only the "permanently deleted" entry remains, and it isn't shown at all if the page was private.

How long entries are kept

Entries are kept for 90 days, then removed automatically.

For the organisation-wide record of security events, such as role changes and sharing, see the Audit log.
