Organisation settings
The Settings tab is where organisation admins change the organisation's name, web address and branding, and reach single sign-on, email domains, automatic suspension, ownership and deletion.
Opening Settings
Only organisation admins can open Settings. Click the organisation card at the top of the sidebar, then choose Settings under Admin.
Name
The name is shown in the sidebar, the organisation switcher and invitation emails.
- Under Name, type the new Organisation name (up to 100 characters).
- Click Save name.
You can also rename the organisation from the Overview tab.
Web address
Every organisation has its own web address, made of a part you can choose followed by Folioso's domain. A new organisation gets an address like org123456.
Choosing your own address is available if your plan includes a custom organisation address. Otherwise the field is read-only, marked Pro, and Upgrade to choose takes you to Billing.
To change it:
- Under Web address, type Your part of the address: 3 to 32 lowercase letters, digits and hyphens. It can't start or end with a hyphen.
- Click Change address.
Folioso takes you straight to Settings at the new address. Everyone visiting your organisation sees the new address from now on.
What to expect:
- The old address keeps working for 30 days. Bookmarks and links in old emails redirect to the new address. Nobody else can claim the old address during that time.
- You can go back. Changing back to an address you used in the last 30 days is allowed.
- You can change it up to three times a day. After that, wait until tomorrow.
- Some words are reserved, and you can't take an address another organisation uses or still redirects from.
- If your plan later stops including this feature, your chosen address stays. You just can't change it again until you upgrade.
Warning
After 30 days the old address stops redirecting. Update any links you've put in other tools before then.
Branding
Branding puts your organisation's logo, name and accent colour on the pages you share publicly. It's available if your plan includes custom branding. On other plans the section is read-only, and shared pages carry Folioso's own branding.
- Upload your logo on the Overview tab if you haven't already.
- Under Branding, tick Show our logo and name on shared pages. It's off by default.
- Optionally, set an Accent colour: pick one or type a hex value such as
#E0A33E. Leave it empty to use Folioso's amber. - Click Save branding.
The Shared page header preview shows what a guest sees. Folioso picks black or white text on your colour so it stays readable.
Where branding appears:
- the header of every page opened from one of your public links;
- the preview card shown when someone pastes one of your public links into a chat or social site.
The password prompt of a protected link never shows branding. If your plan stops including branding, shared pages go back to Folioso's branding straight away. Your settings are kept for when you upgrade again.
Note
Uploading a logo doesn't publish it. Your logo only appears on shared pages once you tick Show our logo and name on shared pages.
